Chatham County Council on Aging is accepting bids for in-home aide services for older adults in Chatham County for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2017. The Council on Aging has about 75 clients who receive Level II and III in-home aide services.
Funding for the program comes from several sources, including the State Home and Community Care Block Grant (HCCBG), local government, other grants, contributions and donations. Businesses submitting bids must have been in operation and complied with all local, state and federal laws for at least three years, and have a working knowledge of State Rule 10A NCAC 13J and the HCCBG standards for in-home aide services covering such areas as aide competency, training and oversight, assessment and service planning, service priorities, and documentation and quality assurance. HCCBG funding requires adherence to the Expanded Home Care Licensure Rules.
Businesses must submit with the bid proof of liability and workers compensation insurance, proof of licensing by the NC Division of Health Service Regulation, and verification for appropriate criminal background and Nurse Aide certification policies. The specific aide services include personal care, light housekeeping and meal preparation. Closing bid date is May 5, 2017 at 5 pm.
