How Your Organization Can Be a Sponsor
The Council on Aging has been an independent, non-profit organization since 1974, serving Chatham County seniors with programs and services to keep them living at home longer and more safely. The Council is Chatham County’s main portal of entry for senior services — but we are not a County department.
The Council does receive funding from federal, state and county governments, but we also must raise a major portion of our funding from private grants, donations, sponsorship's and fund-raising events. This is where you come in.
Being a “Friend” of the Council with your sponsorship allows us to (1) provide programs and services to more seniors, (2) operate our two senior centers more effectively and (3) develop our staff to be more effective and more caring.
In addition, we are excellent stewards of your money — 85% of our funding goes directly to programs and services.
What you get as a sponsor
As a sponsor, you get to reach more than 1,500 people through distribution on a regular basis of more than 1,500 printed newsletters, more than 1,000 emailed newsletters and announcements, and more than 600 Facebook friends. These materials are read not only by the specific senior recipients, but also their relatives and friends, plus a number of others in public and private facilities to which the Council distributes these materials.
Specific major sponsorship opportunities include White Ribbon for $250; Red Ribbon for $500; and Blue Ribbon for $1,000. What you get is the following:
- Your organization’s name, logo and link on our Website page for one full year
- Opportunity to display your logo placard and brochures in both senior centers for one year
- A Facebook “like” and thank you from the Council on Aging.
In addition, at every special event, you’ll have the opportunity to display your logo, brochures and other relevant information about your business or service.
You’ll also get acknowledgment in all Council on Aging publicity of these events, including our Website, newsletter, Facebook page and other social media.
