The Council on Aging is excited to announce a Meals on Wheels fundraiser and silent auction with Chatham’s very own mandolin hero, Tony Williamson.
Williamson will be performing at Carolina Meadows in Chapel Hill (Chatham County) with his brother Gary, along with Nixon, Blevins and Gage (bluegrass) and Diali Keba Cissokho (a Griot Korist) for a special, local performance. “I have a very personal interest in this project: not only is this going to be a fabulous evening of musical fun and a chance for me to enjoy the explosive talents of the other musicians on the schedule, this is going to bring our community together for an extremely worthy cause. The buzz on this is strong and I know we will have an amazing gathering. But even more importantly, everyone I know has benefitted from the wisdom and guidance of a senior citizen at some time or other, and for us to now give something back is an opportunity not to be missed!”—Tony Williamson
